It was indeed a dream come true for Dellavorn Tyson and her five children, when they were presented with their spanking new home, compliments of Gafsons Industries Ltd. Dellavorn Tyson and her five children had lived in a cramped, dilapidated structure in Cummings Lodge Housing Scheme. It was built in 1993 and deteriorated rapidly over the years. Their condition worsened considerably when, during the 2005 flood, most of their possessions were destroyed.
It has long been a hallmark of Gafsons to respond when there is a need, and so when the Chairman of Gafson’s Industries, Mr. Sattaur GAffoor, learnt about the plight of Mrs. Tyson, immediately began making arrangements for the construction of a new house for the family.
During the holiday season, the spacious, new 20 x 30 ft, two bedroom house was handed over to Mrs. Tyson and her five children.
