Police looking for ‘boyfriend’ of murder victim, Lucianna Bhagwandin

THE Police are appealing to members of the public for assistance with investigations into the murder of Lucianna Bhagwandin of Cummings Lodge, East Coast Demerara. Bhagwandin’s body was found on the road at Back Street, Harlem, on the West Coast of Demerara on Sunday, January 10, 2010.

The police, in a statement yesterday, said they are seeking the help of the public for information regarding a recent boyfriend of Bhagwandin who it is believed can provide vital information in relation to her death.

According to the Police, the boyfriend is of East Indian descent, about 35 years of age, brown in complexion and grows a beard. The Police said he gave his name to the deceased as Jerry Jhagroo and drives a black car.

This boyfriend has a male friend whose name was given as Mark and who owns a blue Toyota 212 Carina motor car in which the deceased was last seen

An appeal is also being made to the public for information regarding the friend, Mark, and his car.

The Police said any available information can be provided to the police through phone numbers: 225-6411, 226-1326, 225-2227, 268-2298, 911 or the nearest police station.

All information will be treated with strict confidence, the Guyana Police Force assured.
