The Guyana Football Federation (GFF) has appointed an Interim Management Committee (IMC) to oversee football in the city.
According to a GFF release, the GFF met on Tuesday at the Guyana Football Federation headquarters and agreed on the following functional representations among the membership of the Committee for the duration of their mandate:
The committee is being headed by former BK International Western Tigers president Gordon Gilhuys while the other members are Adepemo Peters (vice-chairman), Vernon Burnett (secretary) Aubrey Henry (treasurer) and Odinga Lumumba (tournament coordinator).
According to the release, the specific terms of reference established for the Committee are as follows:
* To continue and complete tournaments and programmes currently in progress.
* To rationalise the accounts of the association, by way of audit.
* To confirm that affiliate clubs are properly constituted.
4) To ensure arrangements for the early scheduling of an Annual General Meeting of the association and the concurrent election of office-bearers.
The appointment of the Interim Committee is for three months and members are committed to fulfilling their mandate within the time allocated. The release was signed by GFF’s General Secretary Noel O. Adonis.
