The police are investigating a fatal accident that occurred at about 18:45h Saturday at Windsor Forest, West Coast Demerara. Dead is pedestrian Michael Latchana, 38, of Blankenburg, West Coast Demerara.
Investigations revealed that Latchana allegedly attempted to cross the main road and was struck down by a minibus. He was pronounced dead on arrival at the West Demerara Regional hospital.
The driver of the minibus is in police custody assisting with the investigations.
