ONE of the men charged with the 2009 abduction, of businessman Beharry ‘Natoo’ Dookie’s daughter, has been slapped with another charge.
Tyrone Solomon, 22, of Lot 3440 Jackson Street, Tucville, North Ruimveldt, who was previously accused of kidnapping Rorhema Dookie, was yesterday charged with failing to give Police information.
He appeared before Acting Chief Magistrate Melissa Robertson where it was alleged that, between August 26 and 27 last, 2009, being aware that the victim had been kidnapped, he failed to inform the Police.
Defence Counsel Mark Waldron, noting that the trial on the previous charge is continuing, said the new charge arises from the kidnapping and requested an early hearing.
Solomon was remanded to prison until February 20.
He, 22, France Prince, 23, of Lot 3 East La Penitence and Sivon Warner, 27, of Tucville Government Ground, are jointly charged with having, between August 28 and 29, at Stevedore Housing Scheme Squatting Area, also in Georgetown, unlawfully confined Rorhema Dookie, with intent to hold her for a $40M ransom.
