OH dear, I almost missed Richard Verbeke’s letter on August 12th (Alissa Trotz loves a crisis), as I rarely read the Chronicle these days (it’s not state owned for nothing, a continuity from the pre-1992 days).

To be accused of  engaging in diatribes in just two days is so refreshing. Be assured Mr. Verbeke, I want answers to ALL of the violence that has engulfed Guyana in recent years, and I have written on this before.

Let the chips fall where they must.

ALL of them. Guyanese – and all those lost to the violence, including the violence of the state – deserve no less.

Will the Chronicle publish my humble short response in full?
