Nigerian wins Sheriff taxi award

Managing Director of Sheriff Taxi, Mr. Gregory Toovey, presents the prize to winner, Biola Ademola.

Nigerian Biola Ademola, of 84 Garnett Street, Kitty, Georgetown, is the newest winner of the Sheriff Taxi Service Travel Card promotion.

He was presented with the sum of $10,000 in cash on Tuesday at the Sheriff Street location.

Since the Sheriff Taxi service introduced its first ever ‘Taxi Travel Card” to all its valued customers, Mr. Ademola is the second customer to be awarded the prize.

The travel card enables all customers who travel and enroll with the service to gain travel points which, when accumulated, would guarantee card holder’s free travel vouchers.

The taxi travel card promotion began June 1, 2009, and also rewards customers by entering them in monthly draws.

“The more you travel, the more you are likely to win as the state-of-the-art computerised system that is now in use at the service will generate a coupon each time you travel with the service,” a release explains. The release said these coupons will automatically enable customers to be eligible to enter and win a monthly prize draw of $10,000 and a whopping $250,000 in February 2010.

Persons can also enroll by calling their customer service representatives on telephone number 231-4110 and your travel card will be sent to you by post.
