The parents of 16-year-old Donna Brown of 4 ‘A’ Shell Road Kitty, Georgetown, are pleading with her to come home. She’s missing for over a week now.
The teen’s mother, Ruan Munro, said she last saw her daughter at home on August 4. She said her daughter left to go upstairs by her grandmother and that was the last she saw of her.
Munro noted that her daughter had recently asked for her birth certificate and passport and she is fearful that the teen might have migrated to another country without telling her.
The woman explained that since her daughter started attending classes at the Benschop Foundation, she hardly spoke to her. She said the teen has friends who she hardly knew and one day she went out and did not return home until the next day.
‘I do not have a clue where she is because she hardly talks to me. She made friends with other people at the school where she is going and I don’t even know them. All I’m asking is for her to come home. I love her very much and she’s causing me too much pain by staying away,” said the tearful mother.
Rawl Watkins, the teen’s stepfather, is also begging her to come home “If she loves her mother she will come home” he said.
Anyone knowing the whereabouts of Donna Brown can contact her family on telephone numbers 695-5073, 677-2627, 657-8716 and 672-0942, or, the nearest police station.
