GUYANA’S leading mobile communications provider, Digicel, on Thursday hosted a workshop for BlackBerry users and other customers who were interested in learning more about the BlackBerry service.
“This workshop provided the ideal opportunity for customers to get a one on one interaction with BlackBerry experts who were more than willing to share information with them,” the company said in a statement.
According to Digicel Guyana Head of Customer Care, Jacqueline James, “Digicel was inspired to host this event because of the many persons that call into customer care for details about the BlackBerry service and the use of the wide range of applications.”
“We are aware that many customers would like to use the BlackBerry service because of all the great benefits of the service. Each customer despite their individual preferences will find applications on the BlackBerry which would be ideal for them, whether it is a youngster who wants to keep in touch with friends on facebook, or a housewife who wants all the newest recipes or even a sports fan who wants to keep up with all the latest action in the sporting world. Keeping this in mind, we have made the use of BlackBerry within the reach of all customers,” James added.
Apart from choosing a post paid BlackBerry plan, customers can also take advantage of the prepaid plan. This pre-paid plan allows BlackBerry users to pay only $250 daily, $1500 weekly or $5000 monthly for the BlackBerry Service which includes unlimited internet access. BlackBerry users who wish to use this service can do so by simply dialing *136# to select their preferred plan.
In addition to this, there is also the pre-paid Bundles plan. Pre-paid Bundles gives Digicel customers the option of choosing a convenient package of prepaid credit. This grants them access to cost cutting options which includes rates as low as $18 per minute to call any local number, mobile or landline, day or night. In addition, subscribers to the new “Prepaid Bundles” service will have the ability to send free SMS.
For as low as $1,200, Digicel customers can optimise the ease of utilising prepaid credit and gain the ability to call any network, mobile or landline at one low rate day or night.
Digicel said customers can take advantage of this great deal by dialing *134#.
Customers who signed up on Thursday got seven days free trial period of the BlackBerry service.
