At Demerara Assizes…
A MIXED jury was sworn yesterday for the murder trial of Terence Clemkian called ‘Terry’ before Justice William Ramlal at the Demerara Assizes.

The accused is indicted for the unlawful killing of Michael Roland Beharry also known as ‘Bickharry’ and ‘Beekharry’ on July 6, 2003, at Madewini, East Bank Demerara.

However, on an application by Defence Counsel Jolyon Hatmin, from the Legal Aid Clinic, the proceedings were adjourned to Tuesday.

The Prosecution will be led by State Counsel Dionne Mc Cammon.
