Twenty-two-year-old Ramdeo Sukhdeo of Grove, Mahaicony, East Coast Demerara, is now a patient at the Georgetown Public Hospital, nursing a fractured left arm and left leg, and other injuries, after being struck down by a minibus on the Mahaicony Public Road last Saturday.
Sukhdeo, an employee of the Demerara Oxygen Company Limited (DOCOL), was riding his motor cycle home, when around 10:00 hrs., the bus which was heading in the opposite direction, ran into him.
The injured man was rushed to the hospital by civic minded persons, but the driver of the bus sped away. He was later arrested by the Fort Wellington Police.
