Missing Jasoda turns up

Jasoda Mahase, the teenager who went missing last Friday, was arrested at Weldaad Police Station, West Coast Berbice, on Tuesday night.

The arrest followed a paid advertisement on CNS Channel Six television placed by her mother, Zorina Mahase.

The woman was summoned yesterday to the police station to take her daughter home. She was accompanied by a rank from the Vigilance Police Station where a missing person report had been made.

Jasoda Mahase, called Samantha, 18, of 41 Good Hope, East Coast Demerara, was missing since last Friday when she left her grandmother’s home at Stewartville, West Coast Demerara.

Mother of the missing girl, Zorina Mahase, 38, told the Guyana Chronicle that this is the first time her daughter has failed to return home after spending time with her grandmother at Stewartville.
