ACTING Chief Magistrate Melissa Robertson-Ogle yesterday ordered Yvonne Edwards alias ‘Steel Donkey’, 60, to post $40,000 bail on a wounding charge.

The defendant, of Lot 317 West Ruimveldt, Georgetown, is alleged to have unlawfully and maliciously wounded Shevon Marslall on April 11 but she pleaded not guilty.

She said she had been buying fruits when the virtual complainant snatched her purse containing $336,000 and ran away.

Edwards said she ran behind Marshall who gave the booty to her brothers before the two of them fought each other.

Marshall’s mother said the defendant knows her daughter is a psychiatric patient and yet engaged in the fight.
The case will be called again on June 5.
