THE Mayor and City Council (M&CC) has announced the appointment of Mr. Gregory Erskine as the new Chief Engineer.

The announcement said he took up the position on April 1, qualified with a Master’s Degree in Construction Management from University of the West Indies, in St. Augustine, Trinidad and Tobago and Bachelor of Engineering Degree from University of Guyana.

City Hall said Erskine has six years experience in the field of civil engineering and citizens stand to benefit also from his expertise.

A release said he is heading the City Engineer’s Department, with all of its duties and responsibilities as detailed in the Municipal and District Councils Act, Chapter 28:01.

Acknowledging that his is a very challenging position, the M&CC extended wishes for Erskine’s great success.
