AN interesting fact that I have noticed is that this news outlet has shown journalism integrity by publishing various opposing views in its letter column even if those letter writers may be critical of its news coverage in other media outlets.
By submitting their letters to be published, they are showing that they do respect the level of commitment to the democratic process shown by the Chronicle. Why else would they submit their letters?
When news coverage becomes slanted and bias, it may cause a spike in readership. But in the end, reputation and credibility will determine viability and longevity in a very competitive market.
