Vreed-en-Hoop murder suspect escorted from Springlands to Leonora Police station

– he has reportedly confessed to brutal killing of his paramour

MURDER SUSPECT: Devon Limerick
DEVON Limerick, 31, the ex-soldier who surrendered to Police Monday, after being sought for several days, in connection with the murder of his paramour, Beverly Mangru called Pam, was yesterday escorted from Springlands, Corentyne, Berbice, to Leonora Police Station.

He had apparently been in hiding since the killing, last week Wednesday, at New Road, Vreed-en-Hoop, also on West Coast Demerara, but has reportedly confessed to the crime.

The couple had been overheard quarrelling in their home before neighbours were alerted to victim’s dying screams.

DEAD: Beverly Mangru, called Pam
A post mortem examination, performed on her body Friday, established that Mangru was stabbed thrice in the throat and bled to death.

She also suffered 10 other stab wounds and was left in the locked house from where Police recovered a blood stained knife.

The self-employed mother of four operated a shop where she sold compact discs (CDs) along Vreed-en-Hoop Stelling Road.
