I refer to Julianne Gaul’s attack on Mr. Corbin and Mr. Modibo’s complaint on the PNC and his repeating the refrain “African Marginalisation.” Stabroek News 17/12).
Letters such as those of Ms Gaul and Mr. Modibo are not more than a media projection of the disputes within the PNC party and the writers of those letters attacking the leadership are clearly interested in grinding their own axes. In this attempt to seize the leadership of the Party from Mr. Corbin, this element doesn’t care if they weaken or destroy the Party. Mr. Corbin understands the motives of these dissidents and he has to discipline them to protect the Party and prevent them from destroying it.
In the case of Modibo and his refrain of “marginalisation”, I would strongly advise him to read and study Accabre Nkofi’s brilliant booklet “REBIRTH OF THE BLACKMAN”. Nkofi, who was associated with the university, deals with this concept of “marginalisation” in a very creative manner, linking with the wisdom of our forbears from the time of Emancipation and onwards.
