TRANS Guyana Airways on Wednesday night added yet again to Guyana’s aviation sector with the arrival of their Beechcraft 1900D.According to the company, the twin-engined aircraft arrived in Guyana at the Ogle International Airport on Wednesday, July 22, at approximately 18:50hrs. The Beechcraft 1900D is a state-of-

the-art, high-flying, fast , very comfortable passenger aircraft and will be the most advanced of its type operating in Guyana.
“The Beechcraft 1900D was designed and is primarily used as a regional airline and is one of the most popular 19-passenger airliners in history. The aircraft is also capable of a range that allows it to fly to regional destinations such as Trinidad, Barbados and Antigua, among others,” the company said in a statement.
The twin turboprop aircraft, which was acquired from New Zealand, is a fully pressurised single-aisle craft.
Trans Guyana Airways plans to introduce the Beech 1900D for commercial operations in September of this year. The company is a 100% locally owned and operated airline which landed the first Cessna Grand Caravan more than a decade ago.
