As part of the effort to ensure public input and transparency in the process, a public consultation will be held on Friday, October 25th, at 16:30hrs (4:30 p.m.) at the Pineapple Fountain in the Botanical Gardens. This meeting will give citizens the opportunity to share their views, ideas, and concerns regarding the restoration project.

Dr Jagdeo is personally leading the charge on this initiative, emphasising the importance of preserving the natural beauty of the Botanical Gardens, while also modernising the facilities. The project aims to bring the Zoo and Botanical Gardens up to international standards, with improvements in conservation, animal care, public amenities, and overall visitor experience.

The public consultation is expected to provide valuable insights into how the project can better serve the community and ensure the protection of Guyana’s natural heritage.
