Fifties from Ramnauth and Lim as Guyana dismissed for 249
HALF-centuries from opener Rampertab Ramnauth who stroked a fluent 79 and Andrew Lim who scored 53 were the batting pillars on the opening day for Guyana who were dismissed for 249 against Trinidad and Tobago yesterday in St Vincent in West Indies Rising Stars Men’s Under-19 two-Day cricket Championship at the Cumberland Playing Field.
The Berbician hit six fours and a six from 173 balls while Lim counted two fours and four sixes in his 62-ball innings.

Fast bowing all-rounder Thaddeus Lovell (31), Riyad Latiff (20) and wicket-Keeper Shahid Viera (19) reached 20 as Guyana had slipped to 67-4 after being invited to bat on a flat track. Abdul-Raheem Toppin, Olando James and Andrew Rambaran has two wickets each for Trinidad and Tobago who will begin their innings today
When Guyana began their innings, Rampersaud Ramnauth (2) fell to Jacen Agard at 5-1 while Skipper Mavindra Dindyal departed two runs later for a four-ball due as his wretched form continued.
Viera and the burly Jonathan Van Lange carried the score to 56 before Viera was removed by Olando James while Van Lange who made 48 in the last match, was lbw to Andrew Rambaran as Guyana slipped to 67-4.

Lovell joined Ramnath and took the score to 118 with an entertaining 53-run stand before the consistent Lovell who reached the boundary three times and cleared it twice, departed.
Sachin Balgobin (1) fell at 127-6 before Lim and Ramnauth featured in a 57-run stand before Ramnauth, looking well set for a century, was bowled by Agard to leave Guyana on 184-7.
Lim and Riyad Latiff (20) added 52 for the eighth wicket before Abdul-Raheem Toppin dismissed Lim and Latiff in the space of two runs to leave the score on 238-9.

Last man Golcharran Chulai (1) was trapped lbw to Andrew Rambaran as Guyana were all out at stumps.
