THE Customs Anti-Narcotic Unit (CANU), on Saturday, seized $17 million worth of cannabis during an operation in the vicinity of the sea dam, located in Crabwood Creek, Corentyne, Berbice.
According to CANU: “A thorough search of the area revealed several parcels of suspected cannabis hidden in a clump of bushes at the seaside.”

The suspected narcotics was taken to CANU’s Skeldon Office in Corentyne Berbice where it tested positive for cannabis, weighing about 127 lbs (approximately 57.6 kg), with a street value of approximately $17 million.

No one was arrested but investigations are ongoing.
