Motorcyclist dies in Wales accident

IMMANUEL Lamazon, a security guard attached to the Elite Security Service, is now dead following an accident on the Wales Public Road, West Bank Demerara (WBD), around 21:00hrs on Monday.

According to a police report, the accident involved motorcycle # CM 3130, owned and driven by Lamazon, of Lot 137 Independence Street, La Grange.

Enquiries disclosed that the motorcycle was proceeding north along the western side of the Wales public road at a fast rate of speed, when the driver lost control of the bike, collided with a light pole, and eventually ended up in a trench alongside the road.

He was picked up by public-spirited persons and the police and taken to the West Demerara Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival by a doctor on duty.

His body was then escorted to the Ezekiel Funeral Home for storage and a post-mortem. Further investigations are ongoing.
