THE Guyana Manufacturing and Services Association (GMSA), on Wednesday, welcomed the recent announcement that Guyanese are now allowed to travel visa-free to the United Kingdom (UK) for up to six months, a statement from the body said.

“The GMSA commends the Government of Guyana and the British High Commission for accomplishing this which facilitates ease of travel and doing business.
“The bilateral initiative reiterates the confidence placed in Guyana’s advancement and socio-economic position and will undoubtedly foster enhanced cooperation, trade partnerships and investment opportunities for current and emerging Guyanese businesses,” the manufacturing body said.

It noted, “as Guyana’s economy seeks to aggressively advance, the GMSA urges its members to actively seek diversified prospects for actual business and participation and representation in UK-based business forums, trade fairs and programmes which will facilitate improved international relations among the Guyana-UK private sectors.
“Leveraging resources and opportunities between Guyana and the UK is essential for expanded access to improved products and services across all industries between both countries.”
