Overnight rains wash out yesterday’s matches; today’s matches remain

AN overnight downpour forced the postponed the start of the quarter-finals of the MILO Schools Football tournament.
Set for this weekend at the Ministry of Education ground on CARIFESTA Avenue, the matches were postponed in the interest of maintaining the integrity of the ground according to organisers.
Yesterday’s fixtures would have seen, Cummings Lodge Secondary versus Linden’s Christianburg Wismar Secondary School from 14:00hrs while from 16:00hrs, there should have been a battle of the Ruimveldts with West taking on North.
“Please be informed that we are forced to cancel today’s games. The games scheduled for tomorrow Sunday, July 17, will go ahead as planned,” a statement from the Petra Organisation said.
Today, Golden Grove play Friendship from 14:00hrs while President’s College oppose Dolphin Secondary.
