TWO men, ages 22 and 29, were arrested on Wednesday during a narcotics operation at Beterverwagting, East Coast Demerara (ECD), a statement from the Customs Anti-Narcotics Unit (CANU) said.
The operation was conducted based on information shared with the agency about the narcotics, CANU said.

The anti-drug agency said an ECD shop was searched, and several Ziploc packs, containing what was suspected to be cannabis, were discovered.
The two occupants of the shop were escorted to CANU headquarters with the suspected narcotics, which tested positive as cannabis.

The 33 small Ziploc bags weighed a total of 28 grams. This is an active investigation.
