ALEX Amsterdam, 22, of Sparendaam Squatting Area, East Coast Demerara (ECD), died Monday night, after his motorcycle crashed into a vehicle with registration number PRR 8717 on the Ogle Access Road, ECD.

He was reportedly heading east along the Rupert Craig Highway when a motor car heading south along the Ogle Road at the intersection collided with him.

The 35-year-old male driver is in police custody assisting with investigations. Police said that when Graham collided with the car his head slammed onto the roadway.

An ambulance was summoned and Amsterdam was picked up and taken to the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC) where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
