RICHARD Moore, a 52-year-old labourer, on Monday, appeared in the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court on an armed robbery charge and was remanded to prison.
He denied the charge when it was read to him by Magistrate Sherdel Isaacs-Marcus.
According to reports, on February 24, 2022 on Croal Street, Georgetown, Moore allegedly used a knife to rob a woman of a quantity of items valued at $49,000.
The prosecutor, in objecting to bail, said that the offence is prevalent in society and persons should not be allowed to walk the streets robbing people.
Moore will return to court on March 14, 2022.
