TWO men were on Monday arrested with $4.5 million in cannabis in a motorcar at #51 village, Corentyne, Berbice, by agents of the Customs Anti-Narcotics Unit (CANU).
According to a release from CANU, Michael Embrack, 37, of Fort Ordinance, East Canje, Berbice and Randolph Job, 34, of Number 51 Village, Corentyne, are currently in custody at CANU headquarters.
The men were nabbed during a CANU operation. Ranks intercepted a car with two male occupants and later discovered several parcels of suspected cannabis.
The men were arrested and escorted to CANU headquarters along with the suspected narcotics. The narcotics were tested and proven to be cannabis weighing a total of 15.104 kg or 33.3pounds, with a street value of approximately $4,540,000.00.
