RESIDENTS of Lusignan, East Coast Demerara, are now benefitting from an improved supply of water, following the completion of works on a new well within the community.

According to the Guyana Water Incorporated (GWI), the utility company’s Chief Executive Officer, Shaik Baksh and a technical team visited the area, on Thursday, to access the effectiveness of the new well.

As it is now, the well is servicing residents of Lusignan, Annandale West, Good Hope Public Road and Courbane Park.

In some cases, residents are enjoying water from as high as 20 feet. And while residents have already started to experience the benefits of this new well, it will be officially commissioned later this month.
