Incredible success in this year!

THANK you to all the persons who support my column and give feedback, especially the ones who noticed the odd times the column was not available. I had a few messages last Sunday because the Pepperpot was printed the Monday instead, due to the holiday on the previous weekends. I appreciate you all and believe great things will happen for you and your family. I am believing for incredible success in various areas of my life and I wish the same for the Editor, beautiful Jasmaine Payne and the management and staff at the Chronicle newspaper.

This week I wanted to share something that transpired last week, and it will help me for the rest of the year. I had lunch with my mom on Christmas Day and I had a difficult time getting a taxi which is usual at that time of the year.

I told her I was thinking about getting on a bus to get home and she said, “I will not risk a bus with COVID around; I would walk home instead.” I thought mom was funny and I laughed and said, “you know how far that is, mom?”

I invested time in reflection and yesterday and after a few hours, I took a break to connect with nature. I walked out on the patio and watched the blue sky. The beautiful rays from the sunset mixed with blue in the sky were a sight to behold.

I was inspired to get my sneakers and exercise attire out to start my year with one of the things I am intentional about. I thought about walking a few blocks, then I remembered that conversation with mom.
I embarked on my journey from Crown Street, Queenstown, to Hadfield and Cross Streets.

I told myself that along the way I can always get a taxi to complete the journey.
After a few minutes, the challenge was feeling even better and I was determined to make this possible and I did.

Along the way I was repeating the things I need to achieve for 2022.
I remembered the first sentence in my book, “Living with intention, determination, faith, focus, consistency and self discipline can make any dream a reality.”

I was so motivated when I got home because of that little challenge. I believe most of us had a mixed year, but very positive for 2022. When we focus on the positive things in our lives, our outlooks become more positive.

With a positive mindset, it is so much easier for us to maintain our forward momentum and attract the people, resources, and opportunities you need to achieve your goals in life. In the process, you become more confident and more likely to take the kind of risks that will lead you to your best year.

Shortly after getting home, I decided to go back to the most peaceful part of my home to dive into some content from Jack Canfield. I found these questions very useful in my reflection session. What were my biggest triumphs? What brought me the most joy? What were my favourite purchases? What did I learn about myself? What did I learn about the world? What obstacles did I overcome? How have I grown? Who did you love connecting with this year? 10. What big risks did you take? What were my biggest surprises? What cherished memories did you create? How could I have impacted more lives?

Answering these questions gives a clearer view and deeper appreciation for everything you accomplished in the past year and your key what are takeaways. Write down any thoughts you might have about everything you experienced and achieved. Then ask yourself what accomplishments matter most to you?

Which big challenges are you most proud of yourself for overcoming? What stories are you ready to let go of? And what fresh understanding about yourself and your life do you want to bring with you into the year ahead?

Remember, don’t limit yourself while journalling because this material may one day be converted to content for your book.
I was now ready for my visualisation session with some questions for this awesome year. You can decide if you need a theme for this year. How would you like to see yourself grow in 2022? What do you want to learn?. What would you like to change? How would you like to improve? What would you like to experience more of? How do you want to FEEL in 2022? How do you want to make people feel in 2022?

After answering these questions, you will have a clearer idea of what you would like to accomplish and experience in the year ahead.
Write down any thoughts you might have about what you really want your year to look like. What goals matter most to you? Which big challenges do you anticipate having to face and overcome? What new stories do you want to tell yourself?

Try not to overthink while answering these questions.

Creating your vision for your life is a powerful first step to setting yourself up for incredible success in the year ahead. But in order to make your vision a reality, action is required because the power is in the manifestation.

We plan to have so much fun at the virtual vision board party later this month. We will assist you in creating your vision or recreating the one you have as we continue to celebrate this beautiful journey called Life BEYOND THE RUNWAY.
