Slovakian company scouts investments opportunities in Guyana

PAVOL Kozik, President of Proxenta, a Slovakian company investing in Cuba, visited the Embassy of Guyana in Havana on Monday, and met with Ambassador Halim Majeed to discuss investment opportunities here.

Proxenta is an investment group operating on the Slovak market since 2009. Since its founding, the group has provided its clients with investment opportunities in partner projects of €60M in value.

Kozik was accompanied by Cristina Ramirez Espinosa, Director of Exports, and Roylan Perez Sanchez, Director-General of the company.

Ambassador Majeed gave the team an overview of the economic transformation that is currently underway in Guyana, and urged them to come up with specific proposals that would be transmitted to the Guyana Office for Investment (Go-Invest) through the Guyana Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.

He presented them with copies of the 2021/2022 Edition of Guyana Invest, the official publication of Go-Invest, copies of the map of Guyana, and specially selected speeches of the Head of State, President Irfaan Ali.

Kozik indicated that his team is preparing to travel to Guyana on an official visit during the First Quarter of 2022.
