RECENTLY-elected president of East Bank Cricket Association (EBCA), Mr Puneet Jaigopaul, was formally co-opted as a member of the Demerara Cricket Board (DCB) during the most recent Ordinary General Meeting (OGM) of the Guyana Cricket Board (GCB).

This is the second meeting for the 2021-2023 term and was held last Saturday at the LBI Cricket Facility, East Coast Demerara.

Jaigopaul and the new executive of the East Bank Cricket Association were elected on October 17, 2021.

The 37-year-old Jaigopaul was born in Riverstown, Essequibo Coast but currently resides in Herstelling, East Bank Demerara.

He is a former Secondary school teacher and the present chairman of Herstelling/Little Diamond NDC and president of Herstelling ‘B’ Cricket Club. He also played cricket at the club level in Essequibo.

The GCB would like to congratulate Mr Jaigopaul and his executive and wishes to encourage them in their efforts to improve cricket in the East Bank area.
