THE body of Christopher Abel, 62, a miner of Lot 18 Catherine, Mahaicony, East Coast Demerara, was found motionless on Saturday at Peesink Landing, Cuyuni River, police said.

Police Headquarters noted that Abel went to Peesink Landing, feeling unwell and without money to take care of himself to travel home.

His body was later discovered lying motionless in the veranda of an abandoned shop. Police examined the body for marks of violence on the most exposed parts, but none was found.

The decomposed body was later transferred to Bartica.
