GUYANA’s Nathan DeNobrega and Elwyn Levius’ unbeaten run at this year’s COTECC/ITF U12 tournament came to end when they both went down to their opponents from the Dominican Republic yesterday.

Both players lost their respective matches in straight sets, with Levius going down 6 – 1, 6 – 0 to Guillermo Rodriguez, while Emanuel Felix had the better DeNobrega 6 – 0, 6 – 2.

They also lost the Doubles clash 6 – 3, 7 – 5.
However, despite the result, the Guyanese pair will advance to the tournament’s semi-final round today.

Prior to their defeat to the home side, the Guyanese duo held a perfect record against Barbados, Haiti and the US Virgin Islands.

Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago, Bermuda and St Lucia are the other participating teams at the tournament that caters for players under the Central American Caribbean Tennis Confederation.
