BERBICE Cricket Board (BCB) president Hilbert Foster yesterday officially fulfilled yet another commitment to the West Berbice Cricket Association (WBCA) as part of their continued growth, by donating one cover for the ground; further adding to the maintenance of the venue.

Foster, accompanied by long-serving BCB Secretary Angela Haniff, presented the cover worth $324,000.00, to the executives of the WBCA held at the Cotton Tree Ground, West Berbice.

Ms. Haniff made the presentation to some of the representatives of the Association including President David Black, Secretary Carol Nurse and club captains Roshan Gaffoor and Jaipual Harilall.

Meanwhile, Foster urged the representatives to take proper care of the cover and stated that clubs in the sub association would continue to benefit from the hard work of the BCB.

Also, clubs in the area would soon benefit from a developmental grant of one hundred dollars worth of cricket balls. The BCB is now working to obtain a cover for the Upper Corentyne area.

“We would like to express thank to Mr. Matt Bruer of Australia for his financial support and to Anil Beharry who sourced the covers and transported it to Berbice. We are on the move”. said Foster.
