Chris Patandin has so far scored five centuries, including a double-century, in the NYNCL this season.

CHRIS Patandin stroked his third consecutive century to lead Majestic Cricket Club to a big win over one of the favourites of the Caribbean Fest 40-over Tournament, Richmond Hill Liberty, when action in the competition continued last Sunday in New York.
With the win, Majestic CC are tied on 18 points with Galaxy CC, who both have nine wins in 10 matches in Group A.
Richmond Hill Liberty and Everest/ACS are tied for the top position in Group B with 15 points (seven wins and a no-result each in 10 matches).
In the battle of the pre-dominant Guyanese sides at Baisley ground, Majestic CC won the toss and opted to bat first. Patandin, who is a former national U-19 cricketer, got into his strides early and he, along with his skipper, former Berbice Inter-County cricketer Derick Narine, blasted their way to 120 for the opening wicket.
When Narine fell for 40 from 39 balls (4×4, 2×6), Liberty got another quick wicket and looked like they would have gained control, but Yutesh Dhanpaul (former Zeeburg CC cricketer) supported with 28 runs from 25 balls (2×4, 2×6).

Patandin, who fell in the 30th over after his side had already passed 200, blasted 15 sixes and three fours in his 126 runs (83 balls).
Later in the innings, Robin Rooplall added 33 (41 balls, 3×6) to help Liberty to 270 before they were bowled out in the 38th over.
Liberty’s reigning best bowler and Academic Excellence Award recipient, Altaaf Habibulla, led their bowling attack with 3-23 from 4.3 overs, while Leon Mohabir, Keron Sewnarine and skipper Trevor Henry supported with two wickets each.
Former Demerara Cricket Club (DCC) cricketer Dino Chooweenam started off Liberty’s chase with his explosive stroke plays, but he fell in the sixth over for 47 (off 22 balls, 2×4, 6×6). His opening partner Naresh Rambharos added 40 from 42 balls (3×4, 3×6), but there was little support from former U-19 national cricketers Azeemuddin Khan (3) and Henry (1).
Habibulla with 35 (32 balls 2×4, 2×6) and Tegana McKenzie with 33 (24 balls, 1×4, 3×6) showed fight, but the firepower was gone as the side succumbed for 170 in 26.1 overs.
Raj Singh took 3-21 from four overs to lead Majestic CC’s bowling attack, while there were two wickets each for Narine, Dhanpaul and Robin Rooplall.
