NATIONAL cricketer Bhaskar Yadram scored an unbeaten century and took a wicket to lead the Liberty Lions to a seven-wicket victory against Meeri Peeri in the New York National Cricket League (NYNCL) 30-over Saturday tournament.
In the latest clash of the competition, the Lions won the toss at Baisley Pond and opted to field.
Led by former national player Paul Wintz, who picked up 3-25 from five overs with his medium pace, the Lions were able to restrict their opponents to 174-8.

Spinners Avo Yogeshwar Singh and Andrew Tomby supported with two wickets each.
In reply, another former national cricketer Richard Ramdeen took control of the batting with a well-carved half century.
The skipper scored 52 runs from 38 balls, which included four fours and three sixes. After losing two quick wickets, it was Ramdeen and Yadram (who batted at number four), who rebuilt the innings.
The pair added 88 for the third wicket. After Ramdeen fell, Yadram took it home. His 105 runs came from 67 balls and included five fours and seven sixes.
