….players to be based in Jamaica until 2023

NICHOLAS McArthur and Rishaun Ritch will now ‘suit-up’ for Jamaica’s top football club, Portmore United.
The two 19-year-old players were signed from Fruta Conquerors Football Club and will be based with the club until 2023.

It was highlighted that both players were scouted by the Jamaican club while playing for Guyana at the 2018 CONCACAF U-20 Championships, where they were impressive, despite Guyana not advancing from their group.
However, Guyana was the only team, during the group stage, to defeat eventual group winners, El Salvador 2 – 0.

Portmore United is the current Jamaica Red Stripe Premier League Champions. In fact, they’ve won the League, which started in 1973, seven times; the most in the 12-team league.
Portmore United also won the 2005 and 2019 Caribbean Club Championship.
