KELVIN Leitch decimated GNIC’s middle-order in their second innings to propel the Police Sports Club to an emphatic innings and 100-run victory in their GISE, Star Party Rental, and Trophy Stall First-Division two-day cricket match over the weekend.
Scores in the match: GNIC 110 and 94; Police 304.
The Lawmen managed 62 runs in the morning session on Sunday after resuming from a commanding score of 242-6.
Quentin Sampson was run out before he could have added to his overnight score of 106, while former West Indies U-19 cricketer, Kevlon Anderson, who was left not out on 93, pushed his score to 106 before he was trapped LBW by Jerimiah Benjamin.
Anthony Adams (14), Leitch (17 1X4, 1X6) and West Indies fast bowler, Ronsford Beaton (22 1X4, 3X6s) wagged their bats a bit before the innings ended.
Dwaine Dick, who spun his way to four wickets on Saturday, finished with 4-75 from 20 overs, while Benjamin supported with 2-36 from 12 overs.

Trailing by 194 runs, GNIC started their second innings with the hope of batting out the day, but it was not to be as the top order buckled before the middle order was bamboozled by the off-spin of 28-year-old Leitch.
Leitch bowled wicket-to-wicket, which resulted in two clean- bowled and two LBW dismissals.
He had good support from left-arm-spinner Anthony Adams.
David Dick, who lost his wicket via the run-out route, led GNIC with 27, while Benjamin added 13 and Jeffrey Blair, who was the last batsman standing, made 12.
In total, GNIC only lasted 25.3 overs in their second innings.
Leitch, who is a former U-19 intercounty player for Berbice, finished with 5-25 from 6.3 overs, while Adams finished with 2-21 from 11 overs.
