LAW enforcement officials have recaptured a prisoner just under 12 hours after he escaped from the Lusignan Prison, East Coast Demerara, on Wednesday morning.
Taje Singh, 45, was found at Zeelugt, East Bank Essequibo on Wednesday evening and was promptly arrested.
Singh had jumped the southern prison fence and escaped into a clump of bushes earlier in the day.
Singh of Lot 81 Zeelugt North, West Coast Demerara, was serving a sentence for larceny of a water pump and unlawful wounding.
