Alleged armed robbers granted $150, 000 bail

TWO men, on Tuesday, appeared before Magistrate Esther Sam at the Anna Regina Magistrate’s Court for the armed robbery committed on a salesman at Plantation Opposite, Essequibo.
Robin Patrick, a 22-year-old gold miner of Charity Housing Scheme, Essequibo Coast and Munesh Ramsarup, a 33-year-old vendor of Charity Back Street, Essequibo Coast pleaded not guilty to the charge. It is alleged that on January 21, while being armed with a dangerous weapon, they robbed Christopher Harricharan, a sales distributor attached to Suri Trading of $280,000 cash and a gold ring valued $130,000. The duo was released on $150,000 bail and the case adjourned until February 1.
