STAFFERS of the Region Two administration, on Wednesday, went home smiling after they were presented with food hampers for the New Year. Some 504 hampers were distributed, costing the administration some $252,000. The hampers were presented to the staffers by Regional Executive Officer, Devanand Ramdatt. During the simple presentation, Ramdatt said the good gesture is the region’s way of showing appreciation for the efforts of every single staff member within its employ.

“Funds were utilised from savings due to prudent financial management. Staff members were given hampers due to their dedication as we implemented an emergency budget,” Ramdatt said.  Ramdatt has received full support from the staffers at the regional administration since assuming office a few months ago. He also said that staff members have worked tirelessly with him to ensure the region’s 2021 proposed budget was promptly prepared. The REO also used the opportunity to wish all the staffers a prosperous 2021 and encouraged them to give him and the Regional Democratic Council (RDC) their full support as they did in 2020.
