POLICE and public-spirited citizens apprehended an armed bandit at # 58 Miles, Mabura, Region 10, after a business couple of #47 Miles Mabura Trail was robbed on Tuesday at 23:00 hrs.
The suspect was identified as Collis George Jerrick, 30, a pork knocker of Third Alley, Wismar, Linden.

Police found in his possession a black haversack containing clothing, $2.3M cash, one digital scale, two cellphones– one of which belongs to the victim– one .38 special revolver with five live 9mm rounds, one .38 spent shell and three 9mm spent shells.
He was told of the offence committed, cautioned and arrested.
Reports indicate that the business couple of # 47 miles Mabura trail were robbed by two men of $3.4M cash and two and a half ounces of raw gold, along with jewellery and cell phones that were left in their minibus in a haversack while they were having a bath at the creek.
The businesswoman and her husband, upon returning to their minibus, were confronted by the armed bandits who held them at gun point, demanding that they hand over the black haversack.
The bandits then discharged several rounds in the air before grabbing the bag and making good their escape on foot.
The husband gave chase and several persons in the area were contacted and questioned.
During the questioning, it was revealed that two strange persons were seen on a black XR motorcycle along the #47 Mile Public Road with their faces covered, proceeding in the direction of the Mabura Police Outpost.
Acting on further information, police and public-spirit citizens went to #58 Miles where the black XR motorcycle, bearing no registration plate, was seen parked at the road corner near to some high bushes.
The said area was combed and one of the suspect was seen hiding in some bushes. He tried to escape by discharging a round in the air and began running, but was cornered and arrested.
