A MAN who allegedly stole two rear view mirrors from a motor vehicle belonging to Citizens Bank was granted $20,000 bail by Magistrate Leron Daly, when he made an appearance, in relation to the charge, at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court, on Thursday.
Aubrey Legall denied the allegation which stated that, on Friday, October 16, 2020, at Citizens Bank Headquarters, Camp Street, Georgetown, he stole two rear view mirrors, valued $90,000, from a Bluebird motor vehicle, PXX 7865, property of Citizens Bank.
It was reported that, on the day in question, Legall went into the compound of Citizens Bank on Camp Street, Georgetown, and stole the two rear view mirrors from the motor vehicle, before making good his escape.
On Friday, October 30, 2020, Legall was apprehended on Camp Street. He was placed in custody and charged for the offence. In a cautioned statement, Legall admitted to committing the offence when he was told of the allegation made against him. The stolen items were never recovered.
The matter was adjourned until Friday, December 11, 2020.
