POLICE are currently investigating the murder of 18-year-old Adrian Purlett, called “Vulture”, who was fatally stabbed on Wednesday night at D’Urban and Hadfield Streets, Lodge.
Regional Commander, Simon McBean confirmed to the Guyana Chronicle that around 21:00 hours, Purlett was involved in an argument with three males, who reportedly demanded money from him.

But as the teen turned to walk away, after telling them that he did not have cash on him, the men stabbed him about the body with a sharp object before making good their escape. Purlett was rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC), but succumbed in the wee hours of the morning on Thursday.
A police investigation is still ongoing.
