THE Essequibo Chambers of Commerce and Industry (ECCI) has extended congratulations to Dr. Mohammed Irfaan Ali on becoming Guyana’s 9th Executive President.

According to vice-president, Suean Seewnarayan, the non-profit, non-governmental and non-partisan organisation looks forward to working with regional officials as well as major stakeholders in promoting the social development within the business community in the region.

Seewnarayan wishes the President all the best as he embarks upon his new responsibilities.

“We at the ECCI assure you of its support and sympathetic interest in the collective development of our people and the Cooperative Republic of Guyana,” Seewnarayan said.

The vice-president said the chamber is willing and eager to work with the newly-elected government — the People’s Progressive Party/Civic (PPP/C), towards improving the business climate in the region.

“We at the ECCI aim at improving the socio-economic well-being of the people of Essequibo, in particular as we address the actions necessary towards the recovery process of the impact of COVID-19,” Seewnarayan said.
