The men were all employees of the Transport and Harbours Department (T&HD) and were also friends. Jones was a friend of Pryce
The friends were consuming alcohol at a bar located at La Bonne Intention (LBI), celebrating Pryce’s re-retirement leave.
They then left the bar and headed to Georgetown in Toyota Premio motor car, #PRR 2569, which was driven by Bradshaw. Jones was in the front passenger seat while Pryce and Seupaul were in the back seat.

However, around 17:55 hours, while on Montrose Public Road, the motor car was involved in an accident motor lorry GJJ 7150 which is registered to Industrial Steel Fabrications (InFab).

Reports indicated that the motor car was proceeding west along the northern driving lane of the southern carriageway, at a fast rate of speed, and, while negotiating a right bend, the driver lost control of his vehicle, collided with the median and ended up on the northern carriageway into the path of the motor lorry which was proceeding east on the southern driving lane, on the northern carriageway.

The injured persons are Marvin Hardy, Nigel Andrews, Terrence Chance, Eshawn Simon and Okacho Josiah, all employees of InFab.

On Thursday, August 13, 2020, the Guyana Chronicle visited the residence of Seupaul and spoke with his wife Juliet, who was being comforted by other relatives.
The grieving woman explained her husband was the sole breadwinner for her and their three children ages 12, 6, and 2.
The widow explained that the last time she saw her husband alive was Monday and he was on his way home when he met his demise.
“It feels unreal… I’m still in disbelief” the grieving woman said.

Meanwhile, when this newspaper visited the Laluni Street home of Bradshaw, his relatives were still in disbelief and puzzled over the incident.
The father of one was described as a hard-working man who had a love for cooking, especially when it comes to barbecuing on his grill.
Hours before the accident, Bradshaw borrowed his cousin’s motor car and dropped his wife at a location in Ogle, ECD while he went further up the corridor with his friends. It was while he was on his way back to pick up his wife Bradshaw met his demise.

A post mortem is expected to be done on Friday, August 14, 2020, as the police investigation is still ongoing.
