REGIONAL Executive Officer (REO) of Region Six, Kim Williams Stephen, was served, Tuesday, with a letter terminating her services.
The letter signed by permanent secretary of the Ministry of Local Government and Regional Development, Emil Mc Garrel, was copied to ministers of Local Government and Regional Development, Nigel Dharamlall and Anand Persaud
The dismissal was confirmed by Regional Chairman, Permaul David Armogan, late Tuesday afternoon.
Williams- Stephen was appointed REO in October 2016 under the David Granger administration.
She has over 30 years in the public service of which 28 years were spent at the Audit Office in the capacity of manager (ag) for Regions Five and Six.
She previously audited for Regions Five, Seven and Nine.
Williams- Stephen started her career in 1986 as a typist clerk before being transferred to the Audit Office.
