POLICE in ‘G’ Division have destroyed 150 cannabis plants aback of Golden Fleece on the Essequibo Coast, Region Two (Pomeroon-Supenaam).

 

 

The Cannabis plants

According to information, police received a tip-off and, as such, visited the area on June 9, 2020, around 10:00 hours. It was observed that one acre of land was cleared and that it was surrounded by bushes.

On seeing that, ranks further checked and found approximately 150 Cannabis plants under cultivation ranging from 4 feet to 6 feet in height. A camp consisting of a hammock, cooking utensils, buckets, and other items were on the land. The camp was therefore destroyed along with the plants. No one was on the farm at the time.
