ONE of the biggest problems during the Covid-19 pandemic has been the financial strain of millions of people worldwide. However, governmental and non-governmental organisations such as ‘Vybz Entertainment’ have been thinking of ways to make the current situation better.

Over 100 families within the mining town of Linden recently received food hampers from ‘Vybz Entertainment’, a group of young entrepreneurs and business personalities in Linden and which is known for hosting the famous ‘All Black Party’ during Linden Town Week over the past years.

However, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Linden Town Week was cancelled along with the “All Black Party.’ As such, Vybz entertainment carried out an ‘All Black’ giveaway in effort of helping Lindeners with food hampers during a time of adversity.

According to Director of Vybz Entertainment, Damuka Ngqondo, the Linden community has shown great support to the entertainment group over the past years and as such giving back to the community during a time of hardship was pleasurable.

“We just wanted to show our appreciation to the citizens that have been supporting us for the past five years and we intend to continue assisting persons throughout the country during the period of hardship,” he stated.

The group is known for planning parties such as ‘Linden Town Week’s All Black Party’ and other entertainment activities in Linden. However, it has been executing a number of community projects over the years as a way of giving back to its community.

The group which has members ranging from promoters, teachers, entrepreneurs, youths, public relations personnel, among others thanked its sponsors namely: Xtra Beer, Asif Auto Spares, Mark Forester Trucking, Waldyke Sawmill, Quick Cash Access and Dj Magnum for their contributions made to the exercise.
